Investiture Ceremony & Anti-Drug Day

The investiture ceremony on 30 June formally inducted the newly elected members of the school parliament, clubs and houses into their respective roles of responsibility and leadership. The event started with a ceremonial flag salute, a prayer by the school choir and a welcome address by Joseph Ben George of IX B. Chief guest Mrs Priya V V, civil excise officer, Ettumanoor, lighted a lamp alongside school manager Dr Manu and other school officials before administering the anti-drug oath  to the assembly. 

The presentation of sashes and badges took place under the school leadership team, culminating in the investiture of the leaders. A symbolic transfer of flags from the old to the new team was facilitated by principal Dr Roy who administered the oath of allegiance as the school leaders held lighted candles and sang along with the school choir. Mrs Jaimol John announced the House Animators for the year. A rendition of the school anthem brought the program to a close

The Nallapadam volunteers staged a street play at the KSRTC bus stand to spread the message of the anti-drug day. The performance of the students was seen and appreciated by several dignitaries who spoke at the meeting, including civil excise officer V V Priya, Ashok B Nair, KSRTC Bus Station Master, Dr Manu KV and Dr Roy PK.

Administrator’s Birthday

School Administrator Fr Binod Puthanpurackal celebrated his birthday on 23 June. School manager Dr Manu welcomed the birthday celebrant with a bouquet. After the cake cutting ceremony, gifts and cards were presented to Fr Binod by the management and a representative of the staff. Ms Aleena, representing the staff, felicitated the meeting. In his reply speech, Fr Binod expressed his gratitude, and he distributed toffees to the staff.

International Yoga Day & Music Day Celebration

The International Yoga Day was observed on 19 June. On this occasion, students gathered in the auditorium to attend a yoga session demonstrated by yoga master Mathew Joseph who expatiated on the multifarious aspects and holistic benefits of yoga. As part of the international music day celebrations, a musical assembly was organized where students sang English songs on stage with a live band performance and speech on 19 June.

School parliament election

“Meet the Candidates” was held in the school quadrangle on 18 June wherein candidates presented themselves before the gathering and shared their vision for the school. Students of Classes VI – XII cast their votes on 19 June. Adam Stephen D’Cruz [F1] and Helena Maria Felix [D1] were elected Head Boy and Head Girl respectively. Belvin Jeril Alex and Shreya Anoop of Class IX were elected Vice Head Boy and Vice Head Girl respectively.

Reading Day

Shri P N Panikkar’s death anniversary is commemorated as Reading Day as he was the pioneer of the library movement in Keralam. A devotional song by the students of Class VII C and D, a national pledge led by Anirudh S Hegde and a reflective thought for the day by Mika Mariam Jacob marked the start of the celebration. The importance of literature in daily life was displayed by a special performance featuring well-known literary characters and authors. A highlight of the Reading Day was the release of the school annual Desalite Fragrance by the chief guest Dr Harikumar S Changampuzha. The first copy was presented to principal Dr Roy. Dr Harikumar spoke on the profound impact of reading, and inaugurated the Reading Day with a coordinated one-minute silent reading session. The session concluded with the school anthem, and a vote of thanks by student hosts Susanna and Aiswarya.

Pre-KG & LKG inauguration

The theme of this program was “Benvenuto Bambini” which welcomed little kids into the kindergarten section of the school. It was the 24th batch of KG children here. UKG students Thanishka Girish and Cyriac James served as comperes on this occasion. The KG Choir delivered a solemn prayer song. The welcome speech was given by Tessa James which was followed by the lighting of the lamp. Chief Guest and edupreneur Ms Libi Elizabeth Mukesh spoke on the occasion. An energetic dance performance by UKG students was followed by the presidential address by Dr Manu KV. A novel feature this year was the distribution of saplings to student reps from Pre-KG and LKG, symbolizing growth and character. The KG Teachers introduced themselves before a formal vote of thanks by Satveer H.

Manager’s Day

The Manager’s Day was celebrated with due solemnity on his birthday. Dr Manu’s exemplary leadership in the past year was highlighted during the introductory remarks by principal Dr Roy. All the Fathers were cordially welcomed on stage along with Ms Nimmy Thomas who also happens to celebrate her birthday today. Tokens of love and appreciation were presented to Dr Manu by the Fathers and staff secretary Joby MO. The principal spoke highly of his association with Dr Manu in past years in the congregation. Dr Manu delivered a gracious reply speech which was followed by a formal vote of thanks.

Class XI inauguration

The Class XI inauguration commenced with the arrival of the new batch and dignitaries, followed by a prayer song by the school choir and a welcome speech by Gayathri Unni of Class XII. The inauguration was done by lighting a lamp by chief guest M Abhilash Joseph, director of Life Tree Academy. The School Fathers in their turn lighted the lamp. The presidential address was given by Dr Manu, followed by an impressive message by chief guest Abhilash Joseph, and a dance by senior students. The principal’s speech was motivating to the students, and the vote of thanks was given by Gourikrishna Muralikrishna. General coordinator Jaimol John gave final instructions to the new students.

World Environment Day

The celebration of the day began with an environmental commitment by the community. Ms Agatha Kurian, an accomplished editor and educator, and Ms R J Ama from Sargakshethra, enlivened the gathering with their presence. The school management lent their full support to the students’ commitment to a greener tomorrow. The highlight of the celebration was a community welfare initiative by the school’s Nallapadam volunteers who distributed fruit-bearing saplings to the general public. The sapling distribution was inaugurated by Municipal Chairman Tomy Pulimanthundam who gave a sapling to ward councilor Susy Thomas in the presence of councilors T P Mohandas, V Jayaprakash, and the school management team.

Reopening Academic year 2026-27

‘Learning Today, Leading Tomorrow’ was the special theme chosen for this new academic year. The program was compered by two students, Issac Jacob Siby and Jiana Maria Jojen. The welcome speech was delivered by Alfreda Elsa Saji. The traditional lamp was lighted by school manager Rev Dr Manu KV, school principal Dr Roy PK, vice principal Fr Jostro MB, and school administrator Fr Binod Puthenpurackal. Passages from various scriptures were read by students, followed by the presidential address by Dr Manu. After a stirring song by the school choir, principal Dr Roy delivered a roadmap for the year for the school. The students then performed a dance; this was followed by self-introduction by new faculty members. General coordinator Jaimol John presented bouquets to the new teachers. A short message by vice principal Fr Jostro enlightened the audience on what was in store for the year. A vote of thanks was delivered by Isabella Elizabeth Sajo. After the choir sang the school anthem, a holy mass was held at the school auditorium. All classrooms were blessed, setting a positive tone for the year.
