The school celebrated Onam on 22 August with great traditional fervour and festive spirit. Following the formal inauguration, the school choir set the mood with a melodious Onam song. Mrs Susy Thomas delivered the Onam message, highlighting the values of togetherness, harmony, and the rich cultural traditions associated with the festival. The celebration continued with a variety of vibrant cultural performances, along with an inspiring message from Fr Binod.

The selection of Malayali Manga and Kerala Sreeman added a unique charm to the celebrations and brought an extra touch of excitement to the occasion.

The post-lunch session was filled with fun and Onam cheer. An energetic tug-of-war competition showcased the enthusiasm and team spirit of the participants. The celebrations culminated in a lively DJ programme, which further heightened the festive atmosphere and brought the Onam celebrations to a memorable close.

Merit Day – Laureate 2026, held on 22 August under the inspiring theme “Celebrating Success, Shaping Aspirations,” was a memorable occasion celebrating the outstanding achievements of the school’s students in the 2026 public examinations.

The programme commenced with a prayer song and welcome speech, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries. Dr Manu delivered the presidential address, highlighting the importance of perseverance and purposeful aspirations.

The school toppers were felicitated and presented with awards in recognition of their remarkable academic achievements. Shri Nattakom Suresh, MLA, delivered the Chief Guest’s address and presented the prizes. Ward Member Susy Thomas presented the special achievers’ awards, while the subject toppers of Classes 10 and 12 were honoured with awards presented by Fr Binod and Fr Jostro.

Adding vibrancy to the celebration, the winners of the Youth Festival presented a striking dance performance. Miss Khadeeja Nizrin Iqbal, the school topper in Grade 12, delivered a befitting reply speech. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by Hevannah Justin.

As part of an initiative to promote road safety, the Computer Science Department of the school, in collaboration with the Nallapadam volunteers, installed a traffic mirror at the school junction on 21 August 2026.

The initiative was undertaken to improve visibility for motorists and pedestrians and to enhance safety at the busy junction. Ward Member Susy Thomas oversaw the installation and appreciated the efforts taken towards creating a safer environment for the school community and the public.

As part of the Commerce Department’s Onam charity programme, the Nallapadam volunteers extended a helping hand to Ammaveedu, Thellakom, run by the Theresian Trust, on 21 August 2026.

As part of the initiative, Commerce students conducted a charity collection and contributed essential ingredients for an Onam Sadya, sharing the spirit of Onam with the residents of Ammaveedu. The programme reflected the students’ commitment to compassion, generosity, and social responsibility.

The programme was attended by the Director and Assistant Director of the Theresian Trust, Trust member Raju Kunnappally, and social worker Dr Sreejith Krishnan. Their presence added significance to the occasion and encouraged the students in their spirit of service.

The Pothichoru Distribution Programme was inaugurated by Ward Member Susy Thomas at the Private Bus Stand on 29 July. The initiative was organised by the Nallapadam volunteers as part of their commitment to supporting the underprivileged in the local community.

As part of the project, food packets are distributed every Wednesday at 11.30 a.m. at the Private Bus Stand to the destitute in the area. The programme reflects the spirit of compassion, social responsibility, and service to the community.

Principal Dr Roy and Administrator Fr Binod were present on the occasion and extended their support to the initiative.

As part of the Nallapadam programme, laboratory equipment was handed over to KJCM School, Pulikallu, Manimala, on 28 July. The equipment was received on behalf of the school by its former Manager, Fr Tony Maniyamchira, Headmistress Sonia Stephen, and a student representative.

Dr Roy announced that further assistance would continue to be extended to the school as part of the initiative. Fr Jostro and Fr Binod conveyed their greetings and appreciation for the programme.

The school organised a special programme on 17 July to celebrate the spirit of the Football World Cup 2026. Students enthusiastically joined the celebration by wearing the jerseys of their favourite teams, creating a vibrant football atmosphere on campus.

The programme featured a range of fun-filled activities, including exciting football shootout competitions, which brought great enthusiasm and energy to the day. The celebration provided students with an enjoyable opportunity to share their love for football while fostering team spirit, camaraderie, and sportsmanship.

The KG Section celebrated Colours Day on 08 July with great enthusiasm. The classrooms came alive with vibrant hues as each class was assigned a different colour theme. The students looked delightful in their respective colour-coordinated outfits, adding an extra dash of brightness to the campus.

The celebration was not only a joyful experience but also a wonderful lesson in colours, creativity, and colourful presentation. It was a cheerful day filled with smiles, excitement, and a beautiful rainbow of colours.
